The meeting was held on August 7, 2016 beginning at 7:05 p.m. Board members present were Jay, Mindi, Anthony, Bret, Troy, Tad, Rob and Larry. Guests, Coach Hall and Rory Little were also present. 

Mindi reported that the club has a total of $18,217.97 in petty cash and bank accounts. The breakdown is Petty cash: $108.55, Operating: $5068.28, Coaches: $4985.00 and Clock: $8056.14.

Black singlets will need to be ordered for this year. Elite singlets were purchased last year. Rob will look into getting the order placed. Quantities discussed were 5-xxxs, 15-xxs, 20-xs and 15-s.

Signups for the 2016/2017 year are tentatively set for October 2 & 9, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. at the Sports Shoppe. Anthony will confirm that those dates are available with the Sports Shoppe.

The 2016/2017 season will run from late October until mid-April. Elite members will practice October to January from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Following Christmas break for N.P. schools practices will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. for non-elite and 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. for Elite members. It was decided to limit the amount of spectators in the wrestling room during practices this year. Any parent who would like to volunteer to assist in the coaching duties will be asked to complete a volunteer form. Anthony will contact NPHS to sync practice schedules with the school schedule. Tad will draft a volunteer form.

Coaches for this year will be Rory Little along with parent volunteers and board members. Coach Hall will send 2-3 of his high school team to assist practices. Tad will contact the middle school coach to see if he would be interested in coaching.

Elite requirement will again be at least 2 years of experience. The practices before January will be open to Elite members only, after January it was suggested that Tuesday practices be limited to Elite members only. Beginning in January older and experienced wrestlers who are not Elite members will be combined with the Elite members.

Jay moved that fees for the 2016-2017 season be increased due to the increased costs of insurance cards, singlets and gear. Tad seconded. It was decided that the non-Elite members will be $75.00 which will include the USA card. A $60.00 deposit for will be required for singlet rental. The Elite fees will be $280.00 which will include Elite gear, USA & AAU insurance cards and an $80.00 singlet deposit. Elite singlets are required for Elite members. 

Troy moved that the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. from August to April be the set board meeting date to assure regular meeting and attendance. Tad seconded. A site will be determined later. Tad moved that board members may miss no more than 2 meeting unless excused in advance. Mindi seconded.

In open discussion: 

The middle school is possibly purchasing a new mat and has asked MWD to participate in the cost. Tad and Troy will contact the school for more details.

Our 5013C process is continuing. Tad will look into options for speeding up the process.

Tournament date for the club tournament was tentatively set for January 29, 2017 at the D&N Events Center. This date is for the day following the River Valley Ruckus. Tad will contact Mario with some options for the two tournaments on the same weekend.

Jay adjourned the meeting by announcing that is resigning as MWD president.
